One family, one dream, one pop-up camper…
Keith Morgan cherished three things: his family, his hot dogs, and his Dr. Pepper. He always dreamed of opening his own hot dog joint and making his unique Dr. Pepper chili for everyone to enjoy! And then one day, circa 2015, Keith had a brilliant idea to turn an old pop-up camper into a food truck. After the Morgans appeared on a popular home-makeover show, they had some special friends who helped make their dream a reality.
In October, 2016 the Heart of Texas Dog House made its first appearance at Magnolia Market! Since then, the business and the family have seen many good times and some hard times too. Through it all, the Morgans have kept the “Heart” in Heart of Texas Dog House as the foundation of their business. Anyone who meets Keith and Annabeth, or their kids, Jace, Zoey, and Kaelyn, will feel the love they have for each other and their community. With one small dream, the Morgans have fostered a legacy of love through the simple gesture of a delicious hot dog.
